ON RAMP Courses
Our on Ramp is a Group introduction to CrossFit course for those who have NO CrossFit experience.
Our On Ramp Course is there to introduce you to CrossFit, the foundational movements, movement principles, to get you familiar with Vastus, to do your first WOD (Workout of the Day) and meet others at the same stage as you.
The aim of the course is to take away any worries you might have, get you familiar with the movements, the terms used, the methodology and what to expect. They are where we all start. And whilst your movement won’t be perfect and you won’t remember everything we go through, once you finish your On Ramp sessions you’ll be able to attend classes more confidently and safely.
You’ll also know that your movement mechanics will be worked on every class you attend, where you’ll be reminded, prompted and cued to move correctly, until you can do so consistently.
Rowing technique, skipping, squats, deadlift, presses, gymnastics and bodyweight movements, Olympic weightlifting, WODs, class structure, class booking and many other elements.
The course is two hours long. When attending all you need to bring is yourself, some water and the desire to get involved, have fun and learn something new.

1-2-1 on Ramp
If you would like more of a personal focus, book an On Ramp 1-2-1. These sessions will cover all the aspects of our group On Ramp, but in a one-to-one setting.
The timing of your sessions will be scheduled with you once you've booked. When you've attended both of the sessions you'll be able to use the gym during our Open Gym sessions and attend CrossFit classes.

I'd never tried CrossFit before and was quite intimidated by it, but the whole Vastus community made me feel so welcome and I felt at home there in no time. Everyday is different meaning you're never bored. Vastus is such a warm and welcoming environment suitable for all fitness levels. A great place for your mind, body and soul!
