DO I NEED TO BE FIT?
CrossFit and our taster sessions are for everyone, regardless of fitness level, whether you are completely new to fitness, getting back into it or been doing it for years.
What will i get?
You'll get to take part in a taster CrossFit class, see their format, understand what you can expect from a class, and take part in a WOD (workout of the day). Whilst having a great time doing it.
What can I expect?
The session is an hour long and we’ll guide you through each step. You’ll do a workout plus a warm-up and cool down. We’ll tell you more about what CrossFit is (and what it isn’t!) and give you a feel for Vastus, our facility and our community.
WHAT NEXT?
If you enjoy it (which we hope you do!), the taster is a great stepping stone towards our On Ramp sessions which are our Introduction to CrossFit courses for anyone new to CrossFit where we go into greater depth in areas including:
Rowing technique
Squats
(air squat, back squat, front squat and overhead squat)
Pressing
(shoulder press, push press and push jerk)
Deadlifts
Olympic weight lifting
(Barbell snatch and clean)
Gymnastics
(Bodyweight movement and movement scaling).
From here you’ll be able to move into our classes and get fully involved in CrossFit!
